Miles Mikolas was one strike away from completing a no hitter before allowing a 2 out double. He settled for an 8 2/3 inning start allowing 1 run and 1 hit while striking out 6 Pirates in the 9-1 Cardinals victory.

Ryan Mountcastle collected 3 hits, including a home run, as the Orioles edged Toronto, 6-5.

Nick Pivetta scattered 3 hits and 1 run over 8 innings as the Red Sox cruised to a 6-1 win over the A’s.

Ronald Acuña Jr. reached base 4 times, homered, stole a base and scored 4 runs to help Atlanta take Minnesota, 12-7.

Jakob Junis held the Red Sox to 1 run over 6 innings to earn the 6-2 decision for Kansas City.

Dinelson Lamet took a no hitter into the 7th and finished with 12 strikeouts in 7 innings of 2 hit shutout ball as the Padres topped Seattle, 9-4.

Jorge Soler homered twice and walked twice, scoring 3 runs and added a stolen base to help the Royals beat Boston, 6-2.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Kris Bryant singled and homered but the A’s ambushed the Cubs, 11-4.

Nelson Cruz went 4 for 5 with 2 homers and 4 RBI but the Twins dropped the 12-7 slug fest to Atlanta.

Sam Gaviglio entered the game in the 4th and gave the Blue Jays 3 1/3 innings of 2 hit, shutout relief, striking out 3 Rays. The game would go into extra innings where the Rays walked off 7-6 on a wild pitch.
