Alex Cobb gave up just 4 hits and 1 run over 7 2/3 innings, striking out 6 Orioles to earn the 4-1 decision for the Angels.

Eric Haase homered twice, added another hit, and drove in 6 to help the Tigers take an 11-5 slugfest from the White Sox.

Omar Narvaez collected 5 hits, scoring 3 ties as the red hot Brewers bombed the Pirates, 11-2.

Taijuan Walker took a no hitter into the 6th, allowing 2 hits over 5 2/3 innings as the Mets clobbered the Yankees, 8-3.

EARNING 1/2 WOB’s

Nick Ahmed homered and added another hit and walk, scoring 2 runs in Arizona’s 6-5 loss to the Giants.

Adbert Alzolay threw 7 strong innings, allowing 3 runs and striking out 6. But the Reds edged the Cubs by a 3-2 final.

Kike Hernandez reached base 4 times, including a home run, but the Red Sox dropped a wild 7-6 extra inning final in Oakland.

Michael King saved the Yankees bullpen by giving them 4 innings of 3 hit shutout ball of relief, striking out 9 Mets in the 8-3 loss.

Nick Ahmed got 3 hits, including a homer, driving in 5, to power Arizona to a 10-1 final over Oakland.

Tim Anderson went 4 for 5 with a homer, 3 runs scored and 3 RBI in the White Sox 10-4 beating of Detroit.

Tony Gonsolin held the Mariners scoreless in 6 strong innings, setting up the Dodgers 2-1 victory.

Kenta Maeda took a no hitter into the 9th, finishing with 8 plus innings, 1 hit and 12 strikeouts. Amazingly, the Brewers tied the game in the 9th but the Twins walked it off, 4-3, in extra innings.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Freddie Freeman reached base 3 times, including a home run, but the Braves lost to Washington, 8-5.

Marco Gonzales struck out 9 Dodgers in 7 innings, allowing 1 run and no walks. He would not fare in the decision as the Mariners were doubled up, 2-1.

Anthony Santander homered twice and added another hit but the Orioles were edged out by Toronto, 8-7.

Antonio Senzatela threw 8 innings of 3 hit shutout ball, striking out 6 Astros. The Rockies would drop the 2-1 final in extra innings.

Jon Gray threw 8 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 7 as the Rockies blanked the Marlins, 3-0.

James McCann got 3 hits including a grand slam that broke open a close game and gave the White Sox a 7-2 victory over the Angels.

Mike Montgomery allowed a single unearned run over 6 innings to earn the 4-1 decision for Kansas City over the Mets.

Mike Yastrzemski belted 3 homers, driving in 4, as the Giants won a wild 10-9 homer fest in Arizona.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Nick Ahmed reached base 4 times, homering and driving in a pair in the bizarre and for Diamondbacks fans frustrating 10-9 extra inning loss to the Giants.

Adrian Houser held the Nationals to 2 hits, 2 walks and 1 run over 7 innings but the Brewers could not rally and dropped the 2-1 final.

Charlie Morton allowed 3 hits and 1 unearned run in 7 innings of solid ball. But the Rays were shutout by the Tigers, 2-0.

José Ramírez homered again and added 2 more hits but the Indians fell short against the Yankees, 3-2.
