Who Owned October (#WOO) Tallies Updated for ALCS Game 5 and NLCS Game 4 – October 20, 2021

Ronald Martinez/Getty Images

Two blowouts mean tht both the ALCS and NLCS could be over soon.

So Who Owned October on October 20, 2021?

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

From October 20, 2021 –

ALCS GAME 5 and NLCS GAME 4

Receiving 1 WOO

Yordan Alvarez homered, doubled and singled to push the Astros past the Red Sox, 9-1 and put them at the brink of the World Series.

Eddie Rosario hit 2 homers, tripled and singled as the Braves rolled to a 9-2 laugher over the Dodgers.

Drew Smyly gave the Braves 3 1/3 innings out of the bullpen to earn the 9-2 decision for the Braves over LA.

Framber Valdez threw 8 strong innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run, striking out 5 Boston batters and earning the 9-1 decision for Houston.

Receiving 1/2 WOO

Phil Bickford gave the Dodgers 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in the Braves 9-2 blowout.

Rafael Devers got 2 of the Red Sox 3 hits, including a home run, in the 9-1 drubbing by Houston.

A. J. Pollock drove in the Dodgers only 2 runs in the 9-2 thrashing by the Braves.

Chris Sale was effective for 5 innings, striking out 7 Astros, but ran out of gas in the 6th, allowing 2 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings but taking the 9-1 loss for Boston
