I was at the A’s game on Thursday. It was not exactly a nail biter. The A’s took an early lead and never looked back. Jeff Samardzija threw 8 strong and the Astros were clobbered 13-1. Neither a dodged bullet nor a teeth grinder.
But in the 6th inning, Brandon Moss clobbered a grand slam that turned a potentially interesting 4-1 game into an 8-1 lead. And everyone in the O.co Coliseum got a free pizza from Round Table.
And I guess this is my way of thanking Brandon Moss for the pizza.
It made for a fun day at the ballpark and took the sting out of the Red Sox terrible game and the close Giants loss in Philadelphia.
