Matt Chapman went 3 for 4 including the double that set up Oakland’s walk off rally against the Royals for the 4-3 final.

Aaron Civale threw 8 scoreless 1 hit innings, fanning 11, as the Indians blanked the Mariners, 7-0.

Anthony DeSclafani threw a complete game 2 hit shutout, striking out 8 Nationals for the razor thin 1-0 Giants win.

Joc Pederson collected 3 hits, including a home run, to help the Cubs stay in first place by beating St. Louis 8-5.

Earning 1/2 WOB

Ronald Acuña Jr. reached base 3 times, scoring 2 runs and driving in another but the slumping Braves were edged by the Marlins, 4-3.

Paolo Espino was pressed into action in the first inning after an injury to Scherzer. He threw 3 1/3 innings, striking out 5 Giants and allowing only 1 run. That run was one too many as the Nationals were shutout, 1-0.

Salvador Perez homered twice and added a third hit but the A’s walked off on his Royals, 4-3.

Brady Singer struck out 7 Oakland batters in 6 innings but did not fare in the decision as the Royals fell, 4-3.

Brian Anderson crushed 3 homered as the Marlins took the 14-3 nightcap from Washington.

Kyle Hendricks dominated the Twins with 8 shutout innings, striking out 10 while scattering 3 hits and a walk to earn the 1-0 decision for the Cubs.

Zach Plesac struck out 11 Tigers over 7 2/3 shutout innings to help Cleveland squeak by with a 1-0 win.

Albert Pujols passed Willie Mays on the all time Home Run list and added another hit as the Angels topped the Rangers, 6-2.
