I don’t think Wilson Ramos feels much pressure

Wilson Ramos came off the bench to deliver a walk off single in the 11th inning of the Phillies – Nationals game.

For most people, an at bat like that would be considered a pressure situation.
But remember Ramos survived an abduction in his native Venezuela last year. He was freaking kidnapped for more than 24 hours.

I am guessing that facing Michael Schwimer with the bases loaded didn’t phase him. Let’s salute the fact that we can admire his skills as a baseball player this year instead of thinking about any potential tragedy. He kind of makes me want the Nats to win.

Wilson Ramos is safe

Washington catcher Wilson Ramos was rescued.
I know very little other than that.
I don’t need to know much more than that.
A man was kidnapped and is back, alive and unharmed.
And I am happy that tragedy didn’t raise its ugly head this off season.
GET BACK TO WASHINGTON!!!!
Back to baseball.

Please have Wilson Ramos be safe

Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos was kidnapped in Venezuela.
I really hope he is released unharmed.
Let’s all hope for that and trust the authorities in his country are working to get him back.

I hope by Spring Training this is a strange episode, far in the past, and we are talking about Ramos’ role in the building of a solid year in Washington.

Get him back.
