When my dad and I were in Wrigley Field for a game in 1991, we saw slugger Dale Murphy play for the Phillies.
Poor guy. He was the star of so many awful Braves teams in the 1980’s. They dealt him to the Phillies in 1990 and the next year, the Braves went on a post season rampage.
He was there for all the bad times and not the good times.
I took this picture on a cold January day in 2003. Nobody knew what an eventful year 2003 would be in Wrigleyville. Nor did I. Nor did poor Steve Bartman who, for all I know, walked past me that day.
I took this pic during warm ups of a game between the Phillies and Cubs in 1991. I am leaning over the wall near the Cubs bullpen.
If I am not mistaken, this is more or less where Bartman was sitting.
