James Kaprielian threw 6 shutout frames, fanning 5 to help the A’s top the Angels, 3-1.

Manny Pina homered twice in the Brewers 6-4 victory over the Cubs.

Max Scherzer fanned 7 Reds in 7 scoreless innings to earn the 5-1 decision for the Dodgers.

Carlos Carrasco held the Phillies to 2 runs over 6 innings but took the hard luck 5-3 decision for the Mets.

Ian Happ collected 3 hits, including a homer, but the Brewers edged the Cubs, 6-4.

Manuel Margot reached base 4 times, scoring a pair but the Rays comeback against Detroit came up short, 4-3.

Lance McCullers Jr. struck out 8 Diamondbacks and alowing 2 runs over 6 innings but the Astros fell, 6-4.

Earning Full WOBs:

Trevor Bauer went all seven innings in his double header start, allowing 2 hits and no runs while striking out 7 to earn the 4-0 decision for the Reds.

Chris Bassitt struck out 7 Mariners in 5 2/3 innings to get the 3-2 victory for Oakland.

Aaron Judge hit his fifth and sixth homers in 8 games, the second shot putting the Yankees up for good in their 9-7 topping of the Red Sox.

Daniel Murphy went 4 for 4 with a homer to power the Rockies past San Diego, 9-6.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Tyler Alexander would set a record for most consecutive strikeouts by a reliever when he fanned 9 straight Reds. He would an 10 in 3 2/3 shutout, no hit innings but not are in the decision as the Tigers bullpen lost the 4-3 final.

Xander Bogaerts homered twice and added two other hits but the Red Sox dropped the 9-7 slugfest to the Yankees.

Merrill Kelly held the Dodgers to 3 runs over 6  innings but the Diamondbacks were blanked, 3-0.

Kevin Newman got a pair of hits and drove in the Pirates only run with a solo homer in their 2-1 defeat by the Cubs.

Let’s see owned baseball on April 29, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Jesus Aguilar went 3 for 4 with a pair of homers, driving in 4, to power the Brewers past Colorado, 5-1.

Xander Bogaerts got two hits including an RBI double that helped the Red Sox come from behind and beat Oakland 9-4.

Jake Odorizzi out dueled Verlander with shutout innings, striking out 7 Astros, as the Twins took the 1-0 thriller.

Mike Soroka struck out 8 Padres over 6 innings to earn the 3-1 decision for Atlanta.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Cody Bellinger singled twice, walked and drove in a run but the Dodgers fell to San Francisco, 3-2.

Justin Miller stopped the bleeding by throwing 2 shutout innings after the Cardinals 5th inning uprising. It was too late for the Nationals, who were doubled up, 6-3.

Pedro Severino reached base 3 times, including a homer, the the Orioles 5-3 loss to the White Sox.

Justin Verlander allowed just 2 hits and struck out 7 in 6 innings. But the Twins blanked his Astros, 1-0.
