This is the final submission for Washington State University COMSTRAT 561. This is the presentation of my Facebook page There is No Controversy – A Page Against Creationism in Schools.
The link to the page can be found HERE.
The page features several pictures, opinion pieces, links and videos from people on both sides of the debate over whether or not creationism should be taught as an alternative to evolution in public schools.
I point out the flaws in the arguments, how the message factors and peripheral routes in the Elaboration Likelihood Model hurt the Creationist side rather than help it.
Plus a few humorous images are included to illustrate my position as well as a personal story involving my son, Matty.
In addition, there is a link to my VoiceThread presentation that describes the purpose and my points of view regarding the Facebook Page.
The link to the VoiceThread presentation can be found HERE.
That will be graded based upon how my post examples demonstrate persuasive appeals in terms of message factors, receiver and context factors and the Elaboration Likelihood Model.
