Freddie Freeman launched a grand slam that gave the Dodgers the lead and he would add another hit in the 6-4 win over Arizona.

Tanner Houck threw 7 innings of 2 hit ball as the Red Sox blanked the Rays, 5-0.

Danny Jansen went 3 for 5 with a home run to help the Blue Jays top the White Sox, 9-3.

Chris Sale fanned 9 in 7 innings to help the Braves shutout the Padres, 3-0.

Mauricio Dubon homered and added 2 more hits but the Astros dropped the 9-7 slugfest to the Angels.

Reynaldo Lopez held the Padres to 2 runs over 6 1/3 innings but the Atlanta relievers gave up the lead and the 6-5 final.

Matt Olson reached base 3 times in the Braves 6-5 double header opener loss to the Padres. He added another hit in the 3-0 nightcap win.

Marcus Stroman pitched into the 8th, allowing 3 hits and 1 run over 7 1/3 innings. But the Yankees bullpen had a rare meltdown in the 5-4 loss to Seattle.
