Ronald Acuña Jr. homered twice and walked in the Braves 7-1 opening game of their double header against the Nationals. He added another home run in the 10-9 nightcap loss.

Yu Darvish struck out 11 Cardinals in 7 innings, allowing 1 hit and 1 run, earning the 4-1 decision for the Cubs.

Yusei Kikuchi threw 6 strong innings, striking out 7 Rangers as the Mariners won, 6-3.

Mike Trout reached base 5 times, including a home run, leading the Angels to a 6-5 victory over the Astros.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Carlos Carrasco pitched 6 innings, giving up 1 run and striking out 7 Brewers but the Indians fell, 7-1.

Tim Anderson reached base 4 times, including a home run, as the White Sox took the 11-6 slugfest from the Royals.

Todd Frazier went 3 for 5 with a homer in the Mets dramatic 9-7 walk off win over the Yankees.

Andrew Heaney went 7 innings, allowing 3 hits as the Angels blanked the Padres, 2-0.

Clayton Kershaw allowed 1 hit over 6 shutout innings, striking out 8 Diamondbacks to earn the 5-1 decision for the Dodgers.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Mike Clevinger threw 6 strong innings, striking out a pair of Angels. But he took the hard luck 2-0 decision in his Padres debut.

Martín Pérez pitched into the 7th, allowing 3 hits and 1 run over 6 2/3 innings. The Red Sox bullpen lost the 6-2 final to Toronto.
