You couldn’t just lose, could you Red Sox?

The Red Sox were down 6-2 early and I thought “Eh, looks like a loss today.”

Then Mike Napoli homered to make it 6-5 and the Sox would tie it and send it into extras.

The result? A loss. NO DIFFERENT than the 6-2 result except it was more frustrating and consumed too much of my time.

It’s always better to lose 10-0.

The A’s played a close game, but I never got the sense they were going to win it. Despite the 3-1 score, it was never that close.

Meanwhile the Giants drubbed Los Angeles.

Only the Red Sox need to be updated in the “Dodged Bullet/Teeth Grinder” tally.

Frankly, I could use a blowout… either as a win or a loss.

The field was too wet to play in Oakland and the Giants took care of business in LA. But the Red Sox found ways to grind teeth after a wonderful ring ceremony.

Time to update the “Dodged Bullet/Teeth Grinder” tally.

A’s are playing again today. Maybe the grounds crew will remember to cover the field this time.
