MARK J. TERRILL/AP
The Angels and A’s played a spirited, back and forth game filled with rallies cut short, a few clutch hits, a great game tying homer and the Angels winning in extra innings.
Yeah, knowing the game got away from the A’s must be frustrating for Oakland fans.
Remembering the early lead by the Angels that snowballed could have been fewer runs sparks no shortage of “damn its.”
Oh yeah, they left bases loaded that inning.
And the 9th inning rally ending groundout by Mike Trout will be forgotten because the A’s lost in the bottom of the 10th. But aren’t you glad it didn’t end in the 9th? The bizarre obstruction call that may or may not make sense in the end didn’t cost the A’s the game.
Or at least it didn’t cost the game directly. If they lost in the 9th inning, people would be breaking down that play left and right and legal experts would be dragged in. You don’t need that. Neither do I. Instead it was a hard fought game between the 2 best teams in baseball.
Hopefully the A’s will win tonight and no matter what happens, have it determined on the field.
Time to update the Dodged Bullet/Teeth Grinder tally.
An explanation of what this is all about can be found HERE.

A’S DODGED BULLET – TEETH GRINDER Tally
Josh Donaldson tied the game with a homer and the A’s wiggled out of an obstruction call controversy in the 9th. But the Angels would walk off in the 10th, 4-3. TEETH GRINDER
